How to make a carboard shield

First, you need to get a lid of a box. Then get a marker and draw the shape you want your shield to be on the TOP part of the lid. Next, get a knife so you can cut out your shield. Now cut out a long , wide strip off of the lid of a box with a knife. After that, bend the strip you cut. Next, get the bended strip and tape it to the back of the shield. Now you can draw stuff on your shield and you can color it if you want. I hope you enjoy your shield!

The Scary Thanksgiving

One day I was walking in the woods. Before we move on, you need to know I am not a crazy human, I am a turkey. When I was walking in the woods some weirdo tried to kill me! It was one of those crazy humans. When he came, I had to do something quick because he had a weapon! So I started to dance and say  “Everybody dance now!” in a weird voice. Then he turned around and said  “I’m not eating that turkey for Thanksgiving! It’ll make my family crazy!” Then that made me remember something. “TOMORROW IS THANKSGIVING!!!” I yelled. It was a dumb idea to say that out loud because some hunters, pilgrims, and Indians circled around me. But then I said “Beware the turkey of greatness!”  They all laughed. Then I flew up in the air and flew into a hole that someone or something dug deep in the ground. Then the hunters, the pilgrims, and the Indians stopped laughing and walked away. Then  I finally got out of the hole and I realized that Thanksgiving was over! Oh boy, I can’t wait until winter!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving looks like all of my family. The adults are usually eating, the babies are with the adults, and the middle age kids, like me, are usually running all around my papa’s house. Thanksgiving sounds like a lot of loud yelling. Whenever we quietly pray, all of the loud yelling stops and we all go to the table to pray. When we pray, my cousin, Kimberley, which is older than me, starts to quietly laugh then my cousin Jimmy, who is also older than me starts to laugh too. When we stop praying, I hear spoons, forks, and knives clinging against plates, and of course, the loud yelling starts again. Thanksgiving feels like a lot of fun and I also feel very, very, very happy and thankful to be with my family who is four hours away from me. Thanksgiving smells like a lot of great, yummy potatoes, chicken, cornbread, cranberry sauce, turkey, pumpkin pie, and my most favorite, papa’s beer chicken. He makes this delicious, fat chicken just for me and I smell it right when I walk in the door. Thanksgiving taste like a lot of great delicious food my papa and grandma worked hard on. They make a lot of yummy food it would be hard for me to list them all!
